It's been five years since I've seen these two. It was their wedding day, and I was capturing it with my best friend Yvette Tait of Yvette Cherie Photography. It was a beautiful event, and now, here we are, all grown up! Time sure flies.
Sami reached out to me to capture some family photos with brothers and sisters and cousins - the whole gang! I was totally on board. But I will admit I was most excited about shooting at an apple orchard! I've always wanted to be asked to do photos at an orchard - they are so cute and quintessentially Midwest! Now I finally had my chance!
Tuttle Orchards is a BIG place. They have apples and pumpkins, but also flowers and a store and activities for the kids. It's a haven for autumn lovers! I can't wait to take my own family there.
When Sami, Josh, and their family showed up, I was excited! There were a lot of little ones, so we focused on the larger group shots first while the kids were happy. Interestingly enough, for a fall day, it was hot! We desperately needed some shade for the photos and to keep everyone cool.
From there we moved on to more couples and individuals. I promised all the parents that their kids were great...we got smiles and silly faces and apple throwing, it was all adorable! The best photos of kids occur when they can explore, in my opinion. I really love what we captured with these cuties!
All in all, this was such a great session. Sweet people, fun location - I really can't ask for more! Thanks for working with me, Sami and Josh! Hopefully, we can meet up again soon!
