I know I said previously that I don't really do weddings anymore.
The joke's on me! I've now done two this year.
Rebekkah and Jack tied the knot at the Indianapolis, Indiana Temple of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. They had lovely August weather with beautiful blooms and blue skies.
It was a small event, but I think that fit them. They each have plenty of siblings (Rebekkah has 10, I believe!) and loved ones who could shower them with kindness.
Temple weddings do not allow for photography during the ceremony, so all the pictures happen outside afterward. This is how my wedding went back in 2015, and I've done dozens of these photo sessions over the years, so I'm used to it.
But, I will admit I had never done a temple photo session on a Friday evening before; they are almost always scheduled mid-morning at the worst time of day for overhead sunlight (meaning I have to fight against harsh, direct shadows). Being able to shoot during golden hour was GLORIOUS!
I mean, aren't these sunflares just heavenly?
Rebekkah and Jack have had a whirlwind romance so far, and I feel honored to be part of it. They met less than a year ago, and they got engaged about 9 weeks before the wedding! Talk about moving fast! With the Lord on their side, though, I know they will be blessed in their marriage.
One other fun fact: I knew Rebekkah when she was a baby! Her wonderful mom was one of my favorite youth leaders when I was a teen, and I remember all of us girls passing around the cute little baby during Sunday school. They moved away when she was just a toddler, and now look at her - she's a gorgeous bride!
Rebekkah and Jack, congratulations! May you have an eternity of joy together!
Lots of love,
Jacie
