For me, 2025 is the year I get to become an aunt to a little niece and I'm so excited!
My brother and his wife are expecting a little girl in February. They are planning to name her Harper. This past holiday season, I got to attend the baby shower and also take maternity photos for Hope and Kaden. Originally, we wanted to use my parents' old house as a location, as it's currently on the market and it might be the last time we get photos there. But, the December weather was nasty, so we chose an indoor spot: Greenwood Public Library.
This library is a gem for our community! Of course, it's got all the books and kid activities and resources you could ever need, but it also has the right aesthetics for indoor photos. So many places are old and poorly lit and boring, but this library has large windows and a space that blends modern style and cozy vibes perfectly.
And when you're in a library doing a maternity photo session, you have to use What to Expect When You're Expecting.
The Christmas decorations were still up, which was a nice complement to Hope's dramatic red dress! So festive!
And, even though it was cold and raining, we were able to head outside for a few seconds to create even more dramatic shots! I mean, if you have a dress, you have to use it.
Congratulations to Hope and Kaden! I can't wait to shower the baby in as much glitter as I can find!
Lots of love,
Jacie
