Sami and Joshua - so much to say about these awesome people!
Sami and Joshua are getting married in September, and I'm thrilled to be their wedding photographer! One of the best tips I ever learned about wedding photography was to offer free engagement sessions to get to know the bride and groom before the wedding day! This was a great opportunity to learn more about the wedding details and familiarize myself with the couple's expectations and style. Luckily, I found out I am working with great people!
Sami contacted a few months ago, referred to me by a friend. Once she filled out my bridal questionnaire, I noticed that we all studied at Franklin College! We talked about this during our engagement session, and it turns out we all graduated the same year! It's a small world for us FC Grizzlies!
Sami and Joshua told me a little more about their day. It'll be a great mix of fun and special, formal and casual. I love it! The couples that enjoy their wedding - but mostly enjoy each other - are the ones that succeed!
Their wedding will take place in Fishers, but we shot the engagement session at Holliday Park. If you've worked with me before, you know this is one of my favorite spots. It's got a great mix of scenery, from stonework to woods. The best locations are the ones with variety, in my opinion.
We laughed a lot during this session, which is always a good sign. They even brought books, a Nintendo Switch, Game of Thrones t-shirts, and Gerald the Giraffe (who was part of the big proposal)! I loved every minute of getting to know these guys.
