In April, I had the pleasure of photographing a family I've known for pretty much my whole life. And there was a special occasion to celebrate - Spencer's graduation from high school!
On the south side of Indianapolis, one of the most popular places for photo shoots is Southeastway Park. It's a great spot, and it's very fitting for people who have spent time here having picnics, playing on the playground, and hiking.
For a senior, a special location can add to the sentimentality of the photo shoot. Taking photos at a favorite childhood spot adds a level of nostalgia that is beautiful to capture during this time of transition.
Spencer, an Eagle Scout, completed his Eagle project at this park, so this definitely qualified as a special place.
As you can see, Spencer is also a big Star Wars fan. Aren't we all?!?! Props are always welcome, especially when we're trying to capture personality.
